Joining us in the summer of 2021 from the University of Edinburgh, Connor quickly jumped in, working with steel, glass, aluminium and timber structures. At university he worked as an intern at the AECOM bridges team where he produced AutoCAD drawings, reports and team briefing sheets for a variety of bridges undergoing assessment, as well as assisting the compilation of the Health and Safety File for a newly constructed bridge.
He's also worked as a research intern (and later as a research assistant) on a study which involved developing a novel optimisation approach that combines an analytical-based wake model with an ocean model for micro-siting tidal turbine arrays. The project is currently being reviewed for publication. His professional interests lie within maximising efficiency and minimising environmental impact.
Outside of this engineering, he enjoys watching and playing football as well as bagging Munros.
