East Auchnabo, Slains

A semi derelict bothy in Aberdeenshire was converted into a spacious living room and now forms the focal point for this family.

A new timber structure was constructed within the original stone walls of the bothy with feature Douglas fir trusses used to support the new roof. The new two-storey accommodation wing to the west is constructed from timber kit and proprietary timber roof trusses and features large areas of glazing to take advantage of the views south.
