Located in Glasgow’s West End, the conservation of this Category A listed mews building involved restoration and extension. Working in conjunction with Collective Architecture, the structural works included remodelling the roof structure to remove the closely spaced truss ceiling ties and internal members.
We strengthened the ridge beam, which transferred load on three feature trusses, and added exposed tie rods. We also designed the tricky steel framed and glazed sunroom.
The project was featured on BBC2’s Building Dream Homes in 2014.
